Privacy Policy
Summary: IPO Player is a standalone IPTV media player. We do not provide TV channels or video content. Most data stays on your device. We collect only what is needed to run the app and validate optional licenses.
1. Who we are
This Privacy Policy describes how IPO Player (“we”, “us”, “our”) handles information when you use our Android application and related license services hosted at miniclaw.cloud.
Contact: support@miniclaw.cloud
2. Information we collect
2.1 Data stored on your device (local)
The app stores the following locally on your phone, tablet, or Android TV:
- Playlist settings you enter (M3U URLs, local file references, Xtream server address, username, and password).
- App preferences (language, theme, parental control settings if enabled).
- Usage data such as favorites, recently watched channels, and VOD playback position.
- License information after activation (license key and a short device identifier called “Device Key”).
- Trial status (date when the free trial started).
- A randomly generated 6-character Device Key, created once on first launch.
This local data is not uploaded to us except as described in section 2.2 for license validation.
2.2 Data sent to our license server
When you activate or validate a license, the app sends a request to our server at https://miniclaw.cloud containing:
- Your Device Key (6 characters).
- Your license key (provided after purchase).
We use this only to check that your license is valid and to enforce the device limit (2 devices per license).
2.3 Purchase data (Gumroad)
If you buy a license, payment is processed by Gumroad in your browser. We receive a notification from Gumroad that may include your email address and license key so we can register your purchase on our license server. We do not receive your payment card details.
Gumroad’s privacy practices are described at gumroad.com/privacy.
2.4 Your IPTV provider
When you play content, the app connects directly to the servers and URLs you configure (your IPTV provider). We do not operate those servers and do not receive a list of channels or streams you watch unless your provider logs that on their side.
2.5 What we do not collect
- We do not require a user account in the app.
- We do not collect precise location, contacts, photos, SMS, or call logs.
- We do not use advertising SDKs or sell personal data.
- We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (see section 7).
3. Android permissions
IPO Player requests the following permissions:
- Internet — connect to your playlists, stream video, and validate licenses.
- Network state — detect connectivity issues during streaming.
- Wake lock — prevent interruption of playback while streaming.
The app may open your system file picker to import a local M3U file; files you select are read only with your permission.
4. How we use information
- Provide and improve app functionality (playlists, playback, favorites).
- Manage free trials and paid licenses.
- Prevent license abuse (device limit per license).
- Respond to support requests if you contact us.
5. Data retention
- On your device: until you clear app data or uninstall the app.
- License server: license keys and device activations are kept while your license is active. Webhook logs may be kept for a limited time for troubleshooting.
6. Data sharing
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only:
- With Gumroad when you purchase a license (you interact with Gumroad directly).
- With your IPTV provider when you stream (credentials you provide).
- When required by law or to protect our legal rights.
7. Children’s privacy
IPO Player is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use HTTPS for communication with our license server. Data on your device is protected by Android’s app sandbox. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your choices
- Remove playlists and credentials by deleting them in the app or clearing app storage.
- Uninstall the app to remove locally stored data.
- Contact us to request deletion of license records tied to your email or license key.
10. International users
Our license server may process activation data on servers located in the European Union. If you are in the EEA/UK, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. Contact us to exercise these rights.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
